Seeing as the
Converse wedges caused so much division of opinion on my last post, I thought I’d
continue the controversy on today’s Wednesday Wish. I love toeless boots. They tick all the boxes for me when it comes
to Summer footwear. Unlike Cara
Delevingne (see here) I am not brave enough to wear skirts in the summer and
display the psoriasis on my legs for all to see. It’s trousers every day for me during the
warmer months. But this can get a bit
boring, so I was strangely taken by these lemon coloured shoe boots by Maison Martin Margiela.
I realise that
these aren’t to everyone’s taste, but to me, they are like a little bit of sunshine
on your feet! I like the height;
definitely manageable enough to walk in without the need to cling to others for
support. The curved heel is an
interesting detail and the colour dictates that
these are definitely Spring and Summer footwear. In fact, if it weren’t for the price tag, these
would be just perfect!

I love this style of boot and no worries about heel coming out so perfect! May have to start looking for a pair if I can't solve the heel problem! x
ReplyDeleteBut I'm relying on you to solve the heel problem and to pass on the answer! But your'e right, no worries at all with heels slipping out of a shoe boot.
Deleteooooh I read your post on the email notification that came in and couldn't see the picture at first and I was thinking 'oh no .. toe less boots' ..
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THEM!!!!! The colour is amazing and the heel height is perfect

Oh hurray! I had a horrible feeling as I posted this, that I would be alone in liking them. Mind you, if someone said 'yellow toe-less shoe boot' to me, I'd be horrified! But when you see the pic, there's something really appealing I think.
DeleteAnother no from me Helen!!!!
ReplyDeleteOOpsie!
Maybe I will fall in love with next week's offering!!
Have a good week
Fiona x
OK, Must. Try. Harder! Next week, I promise, I'll have something you like, lol!
DeleteI actually forgot about this style until you posted these Helen. They would be great for days when it isn't really warm enough to wear sandals.I would like something similar in a light beige colour:)
ReplyDelete~Anne
They would be just ideal in beige. Let me know if you find something similar ... in a much lower price bracket please!
DeleteI'm not really a toeless boot girl - heck I don't even know what I am but I can see how these work for you and I think they are an exceptionally brave colour. They would certainly liven up any outfit.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't they look great under jeans, whether denim or white? I think they'd be fabulous. But what colour nail polish would you wear with them, I wonder?
DeleteI love yellow for clothes and shoes so I like these but some peep toe boots are awful, there's a fine line I think. I wouldn't mind a black pair.
ReplyDeleteAgree that some are dreadful. Especially the suede ones with the massive platform wedge. Vile! But these are cuties :)
DeleteI like these...totally going with you on this one!! x
ReplyDeleteHurray! Honestly, I thought I'd be all on my own liking these!
DeleteThe perfect yellow and so simple. The first time I ever saw toeless boots must have been ten years ago in a London picture of Nigella lawson, didn't know what to think - but now I love them, great with jeans, skirts the lot
ReplyDeleteReally? 10 years ago? Well, who knew?! I didn't realise they'd been around that long.
DeleteThese are very cute indeed x
ReplyDeleteAren't they? Just the thing to add a bit of sunshine to a white or beige outfit!!
DeleteLove these! shame about the price :(
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them. Perhaps there will be some high street copies this summer. Fingers crossed
DeleteHi there-Love everything about them, simply chic and a gorgeous colour, just so nice for summer! xxx
ReplyDeleteGlad you agree. Shame they're out of my price bracket .. by a long shot!
DeleteSorry not for me...these are like a contradiction for me, like wearing a short sleeved polo shirt (yuck)Are they a boot....are they a sandal???...for me i think a no....Colour is fab though

Yep! I guess like the wedge trainer, they're a bit 'marmite'; you either love or hate them!
DeleteLove them and definitely want to add a pair of toeless boots to my shoe collection this summer. I had my eye on Joanna's one on eBay but then missed the end of the auction - duh. Having said that, I'll be going for black or grey. How dull of me but I really struggle to wear coloured shoes! :) Avx
ReplyDeleteI got a pair of toeless boots last summer (Mary Portas for Clarks) in a brown leopardskin type pattern and ADORE them. Usually I wouldn't go for a coloured shoe or boot ... but for some reason, I think these are just deadly!! Not that I need worry about them at that price:)
DeleteLove love love! Just not the price tag :( x
ReplyDeleteSnap :)
